Uncle Julio's: Your Destination for Authentic Tex-Mex Flavors

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. Received quick seating and service was top notch and food was on point - that’s 5 stars in my book. I also appreciated the paid parking lot behind the restaurant. I hate trying to find street parking. I love Uncle Julio for their margaritas! Love how they switch up the flavors with fresh muddled fruit. I chose not to go with the lavender special (personally not a fan of lavender), but the spicy pineapple was perfect!

Me and my family came to dine in a couple days ago and I just want to say this was such an amazing experience for me and them. We were greeted by Madilyn and she was truly the most wonderful, nicest person there she was so sweet and joyful when she saw us. As for the food and drinks they were spectacular! Very rich in flavor . Madilyn came by and checked up on us a couple times to make sure we were doing ok we truly would recommend for everyone to go dine in! Such an amazing atmosphere. Definitely going back soon!

The chicken fajitas were absolutely delicious! I haven’t had any that were this good in a very long time. Fresh, flavorful. Be sure to stop by and try them out yourself. Beautiful location too.

Went here for a birthday dinner, and the food was great, atmosphere was clean and topical, and our server was spot on. We got a fruit and mini churro filled chocolate sphere pinata easily enough treat for 8 folks for desert on a big decorated serving platter with chocalte dipping sauces, it was novel, tasty, and fun treat for everyone including the 7 year old birthday girl.

I really enjoyed myself when I went. The staff were friendly and diligent. Our order came rather quickly (about 10 minutes). The portions seemed a little smaller than I'm used to getting, but all the food was very Delicious. I'd recommend the Tex-Mex combo plate if you can't make up your mind on what you wat to get and still want to try a bit of everything. The kids loved the chocolate piñata... it was a smashing success!

We arrived one hour before they were closing, but they were still welcoming. Our waiter Milton was very nice and courteous. Our drinks were strong and good. Shot out to the bartender! Service and food were good. It's always a good time at Uncle Julio's.

We are two Texans and we LOVE uncle Julios. Each item we have tried both times we ate here while in Bethesda were exceptional and very fresh. We would highly recommend anyone looking for good "tex mex" style mexican food to stop here. Their margaritas are amazing and we enjoyed multiple beverages on the drink menu.

We had a wonderful lunch at Uncle Julio’s in Bethesda and will definitely be back. It wasn’t very busy, which made for a relaxed, enjoyable experience. Our server, Vladimir, was excellent — attentive, friendly, and incredibly patient. I had a slightly complicated order, including a to-go order that we weren’t picking up until later and needed everything packed separately. I know that can be a bit irritating, but he handled it graciously and with a great attitude. The food was delicious. The cucumber cooler drink was refreshing and really good. We had the taco salad, which was amazing, and the shrimp fajitas, which were flavorful and cooked perfectly. And of course, the queso — always a favorite and never disappoints. Overall, it was such a pleasant lunch that it’s officially become a spot I’ll come back to regularly for daytime meals. Great food, great service, and a genuinely enjoyable experience. Looking forward to returning soon!
